PRESENCE – The way to change
Change is a fact of life. Everything is in constant movement. Creating change therefore has its causal point in being present. Presence enables you to clearly perceive the changing situations you find yourself in, instead of being on autopilot and reacting to each new situation as if you have been there before. It is not reality but your in-built autopilot that is the cause of the repeating frustrations and problems in your life.
Your autopilot consists of the thoughts and beliefs, which colour your individual perception of reality and which forces you to react to the challenges you face in a particular (and often undesirable) way. So unless you become aware of your limiting thoughts and beliefs, your attempt at creating authentic and lasting change will have the same effect as a new hat has on your thoughts.
In this talk I zoom in on the autopilot with (in hindsight) entertaining examples from my own life and my motorcycle travels, which illustrates how wrong things can go when the autopilot is ON.
