The art of kick-starting new ideas – and how NOT to do it
At the age of thirty-one I quit my job as a lawyer in Denmark, sold my belongings and travelled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I took unpaid employment in a motorcycle repair shop and bought my first motorcycle. After eight months in the repair shop I embarked on a sole motorcycle journey that ended 15 months and 53,000 km later in New York City.
In this talk, I give you my take on how not to kick-start new ideas, projects and extensive travel plans and share some simple, yet powerful tools to use the awkward realities of existence (and at times highly unexpected) to find your inner strength and way forward.
